Sri Fatehgarh Sahib, 3 April (Ravinder Singh Dhindsa) : Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, in collaboration with District Employment Bureau, Government of Punjab organised a “Mega Job Fair 2024'' on 3rd April 2024 at their office DBU center of excellence at Emaar Hills. Spokesperson of DBU said that the main motive of this job fair was to give employment to the students who had completed their graduation.Pooja Kathuria, TPO, Mohit Kumar, Assistant TPO welcomed Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University, Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Pro Chancellor, Dr Sandeep Singh President, Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice President as special guest and Major Harpreet Singh Director Employement, Sukhmann Mann Deputy Director Employement and Rozy Employement Officer as Chief guest of the event.
Dr. Zora Singh,Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University congratulated the organizers for organizing such a massive event. He shared that the motive of this fair is to give the passing out students as well as youngsters of the nearby areas a platform to get selected in the best of the jobs in their fields. While addressing to the media, he shared that DBU is committed to not only the spread of education but also to optimum placements and bright future of the youth. DBU is known for the quality education, skill development and wholesome grooming of the students.
Dr. Tajinder Kaur said that it is a matter of great pride that Desh Bhagat University has been organizing this Job fair for the past several years, which has provided employment to thousands of students and will provide more employment opportunities in the future as well. Pooja Kathuria shared the information that more than around 1000 candidates had participated in this job fair, in which 40 companies were invited in which major companies Bharti Airtel, Jcbl group, Cs soft solution, College Dekho,
Ivy hospital, Axis Bank, Key hr solution etc. She added that around 755 students were shortlisted and 6 lakh per annum package was offered to the deserving candidates. She also said that the University has an all year around active placement cell as placements give students an important direction to move forward in life. The regular placement drives in the University which helps the students to choose whether they want to get into the working industry right away or focus on a further degree and also gives them valuable experience of facing interviews of various reputed companies.
