The School of Nursing at Desh Bhagat University (DBU), Mandi Gobindgarh, held its prestigious Oath Taking Ceremony, celebrating the commitment of its new nursing students to the profession.The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh, Pro Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, who served as the chief guests.
The ceremony began with a Green Welcome by Dr. Lovesampuranjot Kaur, Principal of the School of Nursing, and Dr. Prabhjot Singh, Head of the Department. Students from the B.Sc. Nursing 1st Semester and GNM 1st Year participated in the event, which was coordinated by Ms. Sunaina Sharma, Associate Professor, along with the faculty.
Bhupinder Kaur, Nursing Tutor, delivered an enlightening presentation on the History and Significance of the Oath, emphasizing its role in fostering ethical and compassionate healthcare. Dr. Lovesampuranjot Kaur inspired students with her address, encouraging them to uphold the noble values of nursing and dedicate themselves to lifelong learning and service.The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Prof. Ravideep Kaur, expressing appreciation to all guests and participants.
