Bhagwant Mann government has taken major action against gangsters. Strict action has been taken due to failure to take action against gangsters.
The Punjab Government has suspended Senior Superintendent of Police, Amritsar (Rural), Maninder Singh, who was accused of “failing to address escalating gangster activities effectively’’ and perceived lapses in tackling organised crime.
It is alleged that the SSP was not taking strict action against gangsters, on which taking action, Chief Minister Banwant has suspended the SSP. CM Bhagwant Mann said no negligence in action against gangsters will be tolerated
