Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has shown his support for son Abhishek Bachchan’s upcoming comedy entertainer “Housefull 5.”

The veteran actor took to Instagram to react to fun behind-the-scenes glimpses of the song "Laal Pari." Sharing a funny BTS clip, Big B wrote, “hahahaha ... what a fun fun fun .. !!” In the clip, the film’s lead cast, including Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, and director Tarun Mansukhani, can be seen laughing and having a great time while shooting a lively dance number.

On the World Environment Day, Desh Bhagat Radio, 107.8 FM (Aap Ki Awaz) Chandigarh in collaboration with State Bank of India (SBI) organised a Cyclothon ``End Plastic pollution”. Regarding the event, station head RJ Sangmitra, Desh Bhagat Radio shared the information that the World Environment Day acts as a reminder to people to be more considerate and aware of the Earth’s existing condition, in terms of the environment. We all should try to create awareness among people to maintain a plastic free Environment. She also said that this cyclothon is an initiative taken every year by DB Radio 107.8 FM. The cyclothon started from SBI local head office (LHO) sector 17 to sukhna lake via Matka chowk at 6:30 am and more than 400 people had registered for it.

The University School of Law of Sri Guru Granth Granth World University, Fatehgarh Sahib celebrated the World Environment Day on June 5 in collaboration with District Legal Services Authority, Fatehgarh Sahib.
The Chief Guest of the event  Ashok Kumar Chauhan, CJM cum Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Fatehgarh Sahib addressed the students at DLSA and joined the University authorities in Plantation drive at the University campus. While highlighting the importance of the day, he expressed that this year the World Environment Day aims to raise global awareness about the harmful impacts of plastic waste on ecosystems, wildlife, and human health. Plastic pollution has become a planetary crisis, with microplastics found in the deepest oceans, remote mountain peaks, and even inside the human body.

RCB annouce Rs 10 lakh financial aid to kin of 11 deceased in stampede outside Chinnaswamy Stadium

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have announced a financial support of Rs 10 lakh to each of the eleven families of the deceased, who lost their lives in a stampede outside M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday.

To celebrate RCB's maiden IPL title, a plethora of supporters gathered outside the venue to get a glimpse of the winning side including Virat Kohli, who has been with the franchise since the inception of the cash-rich tournament in 2008.

The situation turned painful when fans tried to break the stadium gate to enter the venue as RCB were celebrating their maiden title. The team landed in Bengaluru in the afternoon before they had a special welcome at Vidhan Soudha by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. The team then headed to the stadium where the incident happened. The celebrations were curtailed and turned into sorrow with the loss of lives outside the stadium.

"The unfortunate incident in Bengaluru yesterday has caused a lot of anguish and pain to the RCB family. As a mark of respect and a gesture of solidarity, RCB has announced a financial support of INR 10 lakh to each of the eleven families of the deceased. In addition, a fund called RCB Cares is also being created to support fans injured in this tragic incident," the RCB said in a statement.

Gujarat: Jamnagar completes demolition of 355 properties for road widening

The Jamnagar Municipal Corporation (JMC) in Gujarat has completed a phase of its urban development plan by finishing the demolition of 355 structures belonging to 331 residents for a road-widening project between Swaminarayan Nagar and Gandhinagar.

The demolition drive, which began on May 31, concluded on June 4, paving the way for a 12-meter-wide, 3.5 km stretch.

Officials informed that two dedicated teams have been deployed to clear the debris along the route, ensuring that the newly opened road is fully accessible. Officials confirmed that the entire demolition and debris removal process is being finalised, with the road now open for basic public use.

Sensex, Nifty end in green ahead of RBI MPC decision

The Indian stock market closed in the green on Thursday ahead of the key RBI monetary policy committee (MPC) decision on the repo rate.

At the end of trading, the Sensex was up 443.79 points or 0.55 per cent at 81,442.04 and the Nifty gained 130.70 points or 0.53 per cent at 24,750.90.

On Friday, the MPC decisions will be announced by RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra and according to experts, the Central Bank is likely to cut the repo rate by 0.25 per cent.

Meanwhile, along with largecaps, midcaps and smallcaps also saw a rise. The Nifty Midcap 100 index was up 378.35 points, or 0.65 per cent, at 58,303, and the Nifty Smallcap 100 index rose 175.50 points, or 0.96 per cent, at 18,432.60.
