Garhi stated that the anti-national slogans were written on the statue of Bharat Ratna Baba Sahib Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar ji in village Nangal of Phillaur tehsil, for which Gurpatwant Singh Pannu has taken responsibility by releasing a video. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convener Arvind Kejriwal addressed thousands of youth and students in Ludhiana today during the ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’ oath-taking ceremony. He emphasized the need for urgent collective action against drug abuse, urging the youth to take responsibility for Punjab’s future.

Addressing the massive gathering, Arvind Kejriwal said, “It fills my heart with joy to see so many youngsters here today. The future of Punjab lies in your hands. Among you are Punjab's future Chief Ministers, Ministers, MLAs, and successful entrepreneurs. You are the ones who will build a new Punjab. However, the drug menace spreading rapidly across households threatens our state’s future. If we do not eradicate this problem together, who will safeguard Punjab?”

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led a massive oath-taking ceremony in Ludhiana as part of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Government's ‘Yudh Nashayian Virudh’ (War Against Drugs) campaign. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from thousands of NCC, NSS, and school students, demonstrating the commitment of Punjab’s youth towards eradicating drug abuse.

Addressing the gathering, CM Bhagwant Mann expressed his deep concern over the drug menace in Punjab and emphasized that the battle against drugs is not just the responsibility of the police but a collective fight requiring a mass movement. He lauded the participation of Punjab’s youth in the campaign and appreciated the Panchayats across villages for proactively passing resolutions to make their villages drug-free.

On Wednesday, under the leadership of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, thousands of students, NCC cadets and NSS volunteers took an oath in Ludhiana to stay away from drugs.

Addressing the media at the event, AAP Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia, along with Ludhiana West AAP candidate Sanjeev Arora, said that thousands of children taking an oath against drugs will further strengthen the Punjab government's ‘Yudh Nashayian Virudh’ (War Against Drugs) campaign. He called it a significant and groundbreaking step.

In a major breakthrough amidst the ongoing drive to make Punjab a safe and secure state as per directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Counter Intelligence (CI) Amritsar has averted a possible terror attack in the state with the arrest of an operative linked to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency and recovered one hand grenade from his possession, said Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav here on Tuesday.

The arrested accused has been identified as Jaiveer Tyagi, alias Jawed, a resident of Baroli Village in Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh (UP), who is currently residing in Ludhiana.

Amidst the ongoing war against drugs waged on the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Counter Intelligence (CI) of Ferozepur has busted a cross-border drug smuggling racket with the arrest of a drug smuggler and recovered 3.5 kg heroin from his possession, Director General of Police said on Tuesday.

The arrested accused has been identified as Sukhdev Singh, alias Sukhi, a resident of Mohan Ke Uttar village in Ferozepur district.

Apart from recovering heroin, police teams have also impounded his motorcycle, which he was riding.

DGP Yadav said that the preliminary investigation revealed that the accused was in direct contact with a Pakistan-based smuggler, who was using drones to drop drug consignments from across the border.

Further investigation is underway in this case, he added.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national leader and Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia praised the Punjab government’s campaign ‘Yudh Nasheyan Virudh’ (War Against Drugs) and stated that under the guidance of AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal and the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, they will completely eliminate drugs from Punjab.

On Tuesday, in Ludhiana, Manish Sisodia, along with AAP Punjab President Aman Arora, addressed a press conference on this issue. He outlined Punjab government’s 360-degree strategy against drugs and said that in today’s meeting with Arvind Kejriwal and AAP leaders, it was decided that now both the Punjab government and the Aam Aadmi Party organization will jointly run a campaign against drugs to ensure that Punjab is completely drug-free as soon as possible.

Er Munish Bhardwaj has been promoted as Officiating Superintending Engineer (Electrical)/OSD to CMD, PSPCL, Patiala, against a vacant post with immediate effect, according to an official order issued by PSPCL.

Previously, he served as Additional SE/Chairman-cum-Managing Director, PSPCL, Patiala.
